On my main save I don't usually bother claiming the reward, because I hardly needed more chromatic metal, but cargo expansion modules are always appreciated.What no one has mentioned yet is the tech upgrades you get from derelict freighter missions are class locked by system. What that means is if you do a derelict freighter mission in a system and you get a B-class tech upgrade, while it's random which tech upgrade you'll get (i.e. fuel efficiency, hyperdrive, combat, exploration, mining, trading), you'll only ever see them as B-class.
