I dried it with compressed air, then preheated it. Prep is critical to success if you are going to glue. The Sugihara bars have advantages, and disadvantages. They oil quite well and wear slowly. The large-mount bars work especially well on Stihl compared to Husky and others, since the bar slots are cut for Stihl (the others need to use spacers, which adds an insignificant bit of looseness).The difference in gauge is .008" obviously enough. Running a .050" chain in a .058" bar groove, given that normal tolerances and wear will result in even more clearance, clearly can let the chain dance laterally. Note that the top plate angles on the cutters will generate sideways force.

Based on some older posts (2003) another difference between the 365 and the 365 Special is the carburetor. Supposedly the 365 had a Zamas carb while the 365 Special a Walbro. There are several IPLs for the Spesial on Huskys website. Only one of them (from 2002) says Walbro, the others Zama. M.

Change one, and you may have to change the others. measuring piston to cylinder fit is an art form. pistons vary, as do cylinder bore. making a torque plate jig would take a while. honing process is an art form to get correct x-hatch and finish. even removing a hone takes care. cleaning cyl after honing properly takes a very long time. ring fitting, etc.Holy cow, I have one of those that I got in a box of random chainsaw tools, and I didn't even know what it was for. There are many Craftsman and Home Depot vises out there that can be had for 20-30 dollars.The ones that aren't in cases are usually stored upright unless they fit better on their side on the shelves. Don't think it makes any difference at all to the saw. Some saws can seep fuel through the vents if stored in certain positions. Know your saw and treat it accordingly. Stay away from Ebay though--prices are generally just too high. Depending on what you're looking to spend you might want to see if you can land a husky 350 refurb from a dealer. So "best" 50cc saws (used): 346xp NE, MS 260, Dolmar 5100, Dolmar 510. followed by a lot of other decent saws...ms 270, ms 280, husky 350, jonsy 2150.
